Some of you may have already received a notice from Alberta Soccer about registering online at www.refcentre.com Please do register but do not pay for your registration online.

Choose the "will pay later" option during the payment process, because your fee is covered. You do not need to pay the fee from your own pocket.

Important notes

Each year, every referee in Alberta must:

Renew their annual registration by completing a registration form and sending this form to the ASA office before the outdoor season begins
This registration is valid for one outdoor season and the following indoor season (April 1 - March 31 of the following year)
Complete the online refresher survey (before attending the refresher).
Attend a refresher course prior to each season they wish to be assigned games
ASA will provide the Laws of the Game to referees at their refresher course - these will not be mailed to the referees individually

Become a referee!

Here's an opportunity to make a few dollars. Training is provided at no expense to prospective referees.

If you're interested in earning some decent money ($15 to $18 dollars an hour), and saving us the expense of hiring out-of-town referees to officiate the U-10 through U-18 teams, consider taking the free clinic to become certified.

Refs must be born before 1999 to participate. Adult referees welcome!

Possibly earn even more...

If your ambition is high, there is also ample opportunity to ref games in other Central Alberta Centres.

Why not take advantage of the free refereeing clinics to become certified?

There are five levels of soccer referees in Canada, three that apply to our local situation:

Level 5- House League Level - should be at least 2 years older than the age of oldest players.
One full-day course
Level 4 - Competitive League (CASA) but referee is younger than 16 years.
Two-day course
Level 3 - Competitive League (CASA) but referee is 16 years or older.
Two-day course
